Job Description:

Under the direction of the Department Director, orders and maintains on-going departmental records, and performs procedures according to policy while assuring patient safety, comfort and protection. Works closely with the Interventional Cardiologist. Performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations and other related procedures. Inserts small catheters through a needle into the blood vessels and into the heart so that X-rays, angiograms and other recordings can be taken to determine the hearts structure and function. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a manager. Requires a bachelors degree in area of specialty and professional certification. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Education: As required to establish RCIS, RT, and or Cardiovascular Technician

Experience: At least one (1) years experience preferred.

Licensure: Current Florida license required for RT or certification as RCIS or experience as Cardiovascular Technician

Other: Current CPR, ACLS.
