Job Summary: Provides superior customer service to internal and external clients, customers and patients as referenced in the Service Excellence Standards." Assists the Director of Quality and Patient Safety with the development and implementation of the Hospital-wide Performance Improvement and Risk Management Programs consistent with board approved plans and regulatory and standard setting agencies.
• Serves in a consultative role to the following:
Quality & Safety Task Forces
Directors of Support Services
Medical Staff Service Committees
• Serves on Hospital committees as directed:
Quality and Patient Safety Committee
Grievance Committee
Patient Safety Triage Team
• Supervised and/or reportable to the following, by job category:
Director of Quality & Patient Safety
• Has authority under the general supervision of the Director Quality and Patient Safety, of the Quality/Risk Program.
• Risk Manager is responsible for assisting with the day to day implementations of the Saint Anne’s Hospital approved Quality & Safety Plan

Minimum Education / Requirements: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. MS preferred
• Three to five years experience within a healthcare setting with a focus on patient safety, risk management or quality improvement. Experience and/or demonstrated understanding of root cause analysis and FMEA analysis. Experience in statistical analysis tools.
• Current license to practice as an RN
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work across disciplines
• Ability to analyze data and formulate meaningful information
• Ability to work with, develop, and motivate multi-disciplinary CQI Teams
• Strong orientation to patient care in accordance with Saint Anne’s values, particularly the holistic approach to healing
• Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information with appropriate discretion
• Able to communicate verbally and in writing in the English language
• Training in patient safety or risk management and quality/performance
• Improvement methodology, concepts, education and implementation
• Membership and active participation in professional organization(s)
