- Observes staff and reviews documentation for learning opportunities related to standards of care and practice.
-Advises and supports nursing staff collaboratively to problem solve clinical and administrative issues.
- Collaborates with Nurse Manager in assigning preceptors and evaluating preceptor performance.
- Assists in the active development and maintenance of education of the unit staff from orientation through annual competence.
- Active partnership with Nurse Managers and/or Clinical Leaders to establish unit based specialty education, competencies, and certification.
- Assists with the orientation of new staff including participating in monthly Nursing Orientation.
- Provides coaching and education (or facilitates) to staff so that they can meet/exceed performance expectations.
- Develops multidisciplinary educational opportunities to enhance patient outcomes.
Job Summary: Recognized leadership and education position. Emphasis on the provision and supervision of direct patient care through overseeing the care and services provided by professional and ancillary staff. Plays a key role in the development and maintenance of education of the unit staff.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current nursing registration in Massachusetts, BSN required,
