Medical Records Tech

Under the general direction of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Health Information Director, the Medical Records Technician is primarily responsible for retrieving, prepping, scanning, and indexing all records into the electronic medical record (EMR) on a daily basis. This position will maintain daily workflow, ensuring that records are scanned in a timely and efficient manner to avoid delay in further processing. Provides a release of information for continuing care. Answers telephone and performs other clerical duties. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires excellent customer service, written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to problem-solve.
  • Requires typing speed of 35-40 WPM.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
