Provides care to patients birth to elderly, performing all functions in a professional and ethical manner. Collaborates with other health care team members to ensure quality patient care. . The RN utilizes the nursing process, the environment, and other health care resources to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of all patients assigned.
Must possess a current Pennsylvania license as a Registered Nurse.
Experience as a Registered Nurse in the critical care field is preferred. Education in interpretation of cardiac dysrhythmias and critical care IV therapy are required. Must be able to follow directions, perform according to department standards, and be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required. Chemotherapy Certification required for Oncology Department within 2 yrs of hire date. Trauma education curriculum completion within 6 months of hire and then annually for Orthopedics. A thorough knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and their application required. Excellent communication skills required. Must complete and maintain required departmental competencies
