Job Description

Position Summary:
Provides diagnostic aid to physicians by conducting organ or body scans on patients. Administers and records isotope dosages in accordance with established departmental protocol. Observes patients during procedures and reports any abnormal activity. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Requires a 2 year degree, a FL License, and registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology certification Board or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.). Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.”
Licensure/Certification/Education (Required):
  1. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)

  2. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) OR Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)

  3. Current/Active Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)

  4. Education 3: Technical School/2 Years College/Associates Degree
