Draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for lab analysis. May prick finger to draw blood. May conduct interviews, take vital signs, and draw and test blood samples to screen donors at blood bank. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically, reports to a supervisor or manager. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Phlebotomy Certification and/or Equivalent (preferred)
- Phlebotomy Training Program (preferred)
- CPR (preferred)
- One Year Minimum experience (preferred)
- Background Clearances (as required by law)
