Position Summary: Position is responsible for coordinating patient nutritional care. Applies knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span to identify patient and family requirements relative to age specific. Promote good dietary health and treat medical conditions by devising eating plans for patients based on the science of nutrition. The clinical dietitian will be an advocate for improving customer service standards.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or related nutritional field; completion of post grad ADA program from an accredited institution
Required SKILL SET: Ability to assess the complex patients who present with medical problems related to poor appetite and/or physical eating problems; Ability to develop a plan of care which is both practical and efficient; Ability to document accurately and timely; Ability to effectively educate and provide appropriate tools; Advanced computer skills required; Proficiency in the use all relevant general office equipment; Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to exercise independent judgment in the completion of assignments and duties; Ability to speak and write English fluently. .
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: 1 to 3 years hospital experience
Required License/certification: Registered dietitian/licensed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
