Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 by 14 obstetricians, pediatricians, and family practitioners as Odessa Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was changed to Odessa Regional Hospital in 1995.
In June 2007, Odessa Regional Hospital purchased Alliance Hospital and changed its name to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus and more comprehensive services. In 2015, ORMC acquired Basin Healthcare Center. The hospital has 225 beds and has approximately 250 physicians on staff and has over 700 employees.
Today, ORMC offers a wide spectrum of healthcare services, including advanced diagnostic imaging technology, emergency care, innovative surgical procedures, maternity care, comprehensive cardiac services and general medical care.
About the Position:
The ideal candidate for Trauma Registrar will provide primary support to the Trauma Program Manager and the Trauma Medical Director. He/She will accurately identifie and enter all patients into the state trauma registry ensuring it is current and complete. This position functions independently in the acquisition of accurate data for all patients meeting Trauma Registry inclusion criteria. Submits data to the approved registries. This position participates in committee meetings internally or externally as needed. Responsible for providing monthly, annual, and ad-hoc reports to the hospital as needed. Responsible for Emergency Department Statistics: EKG log, Longbone fractures log, daily logs
- High School Graduate
- Knowledge of data base management
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Work required high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and ability to function independently.
- Must be detailed oriented, possess trong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize large volume of work.
- Completed trauma registrar course from the American Trauma Socient or AAA Certification within 12 months of hire.
