Steward Medical Group at Hawthorn Medical Associates is looking for an enthusiastic, professional Accounts Receivable Team Lead with a positive attitude, along with the ability to work both independently and on a team in a fast-paced environment!
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Leading and guiding Insurance Adjudicators as they complete their tasks. This includes developing a timeline for the project and delegating the individual components to members of the team.
Performing in accordance with the facility’s policies and procedures. Following the facility’s standards for ethical business conduct.
Participating in facility committees, meetings, in-services, and activities.
- Analyzing information and reports to provide information to the Supervisor/Director on the team’s progress in meetings or through regular email contact or reports.
- Working with Patient Accounts Supervisor and Manager to assign all projects/tasks and communicates to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, deadlines, and issues for review.
- Ensuring all Specialists are documenting patient accounts/claims accordingly and resolving or transferring to appropriate action.
Required knowledge and skills:
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of third party payer requirements and guidelines.
Must possess strong analytical skills, accurate typing and computer skills; including Outlook, Excel and Word.
Ability / knowledge to create, develop, run reports within a billing system and excel. Ability to multi-task and work under stressful conditions.
Ability to work in a busy office environment with frequent deadlines and interruptions. . Ability to research issues and to recommend feasible solutions, and adapt to new processes.
Possess ability to investigate, analyze and coordinate with management, resolve department issues.
Education:
High School Diploma and 3–5 years’ experience in patient accounts, denials, follow up, disputes, billing experience in professional billing healthcare setting an Associate’s degree in Business Office Administration, Health Care Management or related field preferred.
