I work with a great team of healthcare employees that go the extra mile for our patients making for a very comfortable and enjoyable work environment. It’s a great place to work and grow as a healthcare professional. I take great ownership in my work and I feel Steward does as well. The leadership on my unit is great and very supportive in my role as a nurse and in my growth as a healthcare professional.

My favorite part of working at Steward Health Care is the unit that I work in. I am currently a nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. We are the only NICU in Steward’s Northeast System and we care for the tiniest, more fragile patients in all of Steward. The NICU is a very special place staffed by a dedicated team of nurses. It’s very difficult to explain the miracles we see to someone who has never been in a NICU. Caring for sick babies and supporting their families as they are faced with such a frightening experience is a privilege that I am grateful for each day.

My favorite part about working at Steward Health Care is the staff. The staff here treats you like family. Everyone is incredibly nice and willing to go above and beyond for each other and our patients. My favorite memory was when I was recognized for providing relief during Hurricane Harvey by Steward Health Care’s CEO. It was an incredible opportunity that I will never forget. Steward Health Care is a phenomenal place to work. Not only do they focus on helping our patients and the community, they also provide excellent opportunities for its employees and continue to create a friendly, innovative workplace.
