Job Summary:

The Clinical Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring, and revision of all behavioral treatment and curriculum planning related to the school based IBHS program. The Clinical Manager oversees the distribution of behavioral intervention resources, serves as the administrative and clinical liaison to the school district, and is responsible to provide clinical supervision to BC, BHT I, and BHT II school-based staff. The program coordinator completes other duties as assigned. This includes working in other Behavioral Health departments when the school-based program is on extended break or not running at full census.


  • Licensure: One of the following: Psychiatry/psychology, LPC, MFT, LCSW; or PA Licensed BC/LSW with a graduate degree that required a clinical direct service practicum.
  • CPR
  • 1 year FT post graduate experience in the provision of MH Direct service to children, youth, or young adults.
  • Valid Driver's License and car insurance
  • Background clearances (as required by law)


Develops Behavioral Treatment regimen utilized within the school based IBHS program.

  • Develops and implements Functional Behavioral Assessment and Data collection programs. Uses collected data to direct treatment.
  • Develops individual and group treatment planning, student goals, and activities curriculum as indicated by FBA and parent interviews.
  • Develops crisis plan for students being served. Provides crisis plan to school based staff and teachers.

Consultation: Clinical Manager supports and engages in consultation as evidenced by:

  • Collaborates with school personnel for IEP and treatment meetings.
  • Maintains regular, ongoing communication with family members and school personnel to promote effective treatment outcomes.
  • Provides clinical reports to the school based IBHS team and to other agencies and Medical Center departments.
  • Seeks support as needed for clinical, diagnostic, or other treatment issues outside the clinician's standard regimen of practice.
  • Educates patient, family, and school personnel regarding symptoms and interventions. Conducts information sessions with teachers and parents.

Consultation with collateral agencies as necessary.

Diagnostic and Clinical Skills: Demonstrates competency and applied knowledge of diagnostic indices, research, and clinical standards:

  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and utilization of the most recent version if the DSMs.
  • Conducts the necessary research to effectively understand and treat individual student needs.
  • Demonstrates specialization and comprehensive knowledge of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and Hobbs's Re-Education theory.
  • Completes CAFAS testing

Clinical Manager is responsible for supervision and oversight of the school based IBHS program:

  • Educates and monitors all treatment team members' utilization of plan and provides recommendations for implementation and adjustment as needed.
  • Facilitates supervision for all clinical staff, particularly the BHT I and BHT II staff, regarding student treatment,
  • Communicates on a regular basis with IBHS Administrative/Clinical Director regarding: Program overview/needs, family concerns, and ideas for program efficiency.
  • Actively involves the patient, family, and other treatment team members in the treatment process.
  • Ensures that school personnel, BHT I and BHT II staff/are aware of the treatment plan and curriculum being provided. Gives clear and sufficient direction regarding implementation of plans.
  • Discusses and documents all treatment changes in progress notes, quarterly reports, behavioral summaries, and supervision logs.
  • Educates students, families, school personnel and treatment team members regarding SRMC policy/procedures and the appropriate IBHS management to contact for additional clarification regarding problem issues.
  • Facilitates debriefing sessions with staff as a follow-up to crisis incidents.

Documentation: Clinical Manager adheres to all documentation requirements.

  • Completes all required documentation to school personnel, Beacon Health Options, and other IBHS departments within the specified time frames.
  • Completes documentation adhering to the required clinical standards of IBHS and SRMC.
  • Assisting in the ongoing review, maintenance, and compliance monitoring of documentation as required.
