Position Summary:

Provide analytical support for various accounts receivable related projects. Assist with the reduction of accounts receivable by providing contract interpretation and administration support. Review all regional managed care contract proposals for identification of terms that may impede its administration from a business office perspective. Perform reviews of hospital charges for the proper identification of reimbursable pass through items. Responsible for preparation of month end reports, as well as all other reporting needs. Analyzes all data to identify trends in receivables, cash collections, denials, etc. Submits monthly reports to CFO, as required. Interacts with Business Office Supervisors, Managers and Directors for reporting and analysis needs. Approval of Adjustments and Charities as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities):

Education: (Minimum) Associate Degree in related field or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • Three to five years hospital business office experience with emphasis on Patient Account Management and managed care contract administration.

Other Qualifications:

  • Must have intermediate level PC skills in a Windows environment.
  • Proficiency with Office software applications.
  • Must be detailed oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of hospital/regional staff and management.

  • Works with customers and identify problem areas and recommend solutions.

Communication Skills:

Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization.
