Position Summary:

The Central Supply Worker is responsible for the distribution of medical supplies to patient areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicates courteously and professionally with patients, staff and visitors.
  • Maintains supplies on established par levels by scanning items on a daily basis on all clean utility rooms located at the nursing units.
  • Delivers supplies and equipment to patient units.
  • Brings down to CSR and cleans medical equipment between uses.
  • Records all transactions of issuance and returns through the MediTech system.
  • Responsible for conducting and preparing CSR Rooms for annual inventory.
  • Responsible for checking expiration dates on supplies stored in all clean utility rooms.
  • Performs additional duties as requested.

Education, Training and Experience:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Data Entry experience
  • Knowledge of the MediTech system preferred
  • The ability to lift and transport heavy boxes.
  • Prior knowledge of hospital inventory control preferred.
