Summary of Responsibilities:
The Charge Nurse is responsible for providing the clinical expertise and knowledge for care team members. They are responsible for directing, guiding and coordinating team staffing, work assignments, and unit bed flow. The Charge Nurse serves as a mentor by role modeling professional practice.
- Registered to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Clinical experience of 6 months or greater as a Registered Nurse, or re-entry following a period of more than 5 years in which nursing was not practiced.
- BLS certification required.
- Prior nursing leadership experience required.
