Mountain Vista Medical Center is a 178-bed, state-of-the-art hospital located in east Mesa, Arizona, offering comprehensive health care services, including emergency care, heart care, advanced surgical procedures, orthopedics, breast care, maternity care, and women’s services.

Position Summary:

As a member of the healthcare team, the clinical dietitian coordinates the nutrition care of the patient and provides clinical nutrition guidance in accordance with physician orders and evidence-based guidelines. Conducts nutrition assessments as triggered under mandatory nursing 24 hour admission assessments or at any time during patient admission. Develops appropriate plan of care and communicates with the multidisciplinary team verbally and/or electronically. Conducts reassessments based on nutritional risk assigned and/or change in patient condition or needs. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the patients and interpret guidelines to meet age specific needs. Effectively interacts with peers, managers, and other team members and maintains confidentiality as related to job duties.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Arizona Registered Dietitian license in good standing
• Bachelors Degree with completion of a dietetic internship
• Must be a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or Registered Dietitian Eligible pending examination.

Preferred:

• 1-3 years hospital experience
• Masters Degree
• Certified Diabetes Educator
