Job Summary: Responsible for recommending nutritional interventions, evaluating and monitoring nutritional status of customers and counseling customers/families on nutritional modifications with appropriate documentation in the medical record. Involves consulting with dietitians/diet technician as necessary, working proactively with all related departments, assisting with ongoing quality assessment/improvement functions, training and orientation of employee/staff and personal development and continuing education. Involves significant level of customer contact and independent performance in conformance with priorities, established standards of care and department policies and procedures

Minimum Education Requirements:
BS in Nutrition

Minimum Work Experience: ADA accredited supervised pre-professional experience including food service management, community nutrition and clinical nutrition

Other skills and abilities: Knowledge of nutritional requirements throughout the lifecycle, medical nutrition therapy to include screening, assessment, reassessment, education and discharge planning

Equipment/Software/Certification: Registered Dietitian or RD eligible according to the ADA Commission in dietetic registration
