Registered Nurse - Critical Care Educator

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Facility Critical Care RN Educator is responsible for the development and administration of all aspects of our health care certification/staff development programs. The Educators primary goal is to improve the quality of education programs provided to the community for the purpose of improving the quality of life for the people and communities we serve. Will educate Registered Nurse Staff in the following: Hemodynamics, Swan Ganz catheters, Vigilence CCO, Art Lines, Troubleshooting, Targeted Temperature Management, ECG Equipment, Policies, Stroke Management, Protocols, Telestroke, TPA, Airway Management, Ventilator Management, ABGs, Chest tubes, Sepsis, Trauma including; Chest and Thorasic, Head and Facial, Abdominal, Pediatric, Spinal cord and neck, Cardiac, IABP, Impella, Hazmat, etc. Works closely with hospital Administration and facility leadership. Assists the Education Department with New Hire Orientation, Certification Courses, Nurse Residency Program, Competency Creation/Updates, Skills List Reviews/Updates, etc.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Utah or Interstate Compact.
  • Current BLS (CPR) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association Healthcare Provider upon hire.
  • Five (5) years ER and ICU experience as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Must have or be in the process of obtaining CCRN or CEN.
  • Excellent customer service skills, teaching skills and communication skills.
  • Must be self-directed.
  • Must have team building skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written.
