POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general direction of the Director of Rehabilitation, the Clinical Liaison/PPS Coordinator is responsible for serving as the primary liaison to designated health care facilities and industries by maintaining good communication skills and performing on-site evaluations. The liaison is actively involved in marketing by one-to-one contact and professional education. The liaison will work closely with the PPS (Prospective Payment System) to ensure accurate reimbursement. They will coordinate the data collection on the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI), ensure the presence of supporting documentation, and provide staff education to ensure compliance with CMS guidelines. Coordinates all efforts for immediate issue resolution concerning QI Scoring. Conducts ongoing review and completion of IRF-PAI related data. The liaison will keep appropriate documentation of contacts and furnish weekly reports to the program director. The liaison will participate in required meetings as directed by the program director and will assist with gathering, entering and electronically submitting all required documentation. In addition, the Clinical Liaison will assist Director with other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Current State License as RN, LVN, PT, PTA, OT, or COTA.

Experience with QIs and IRF-PPS required.

Minimum of 1-2 years in rehabilitation.

Previous experience in commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid preferred.

Effective written and oral communication and problem solving skills.

Reference Steward Certification Grid for all required Certifications.
