CNA- Wound Care Clinic- Per Diem- 7:30 - 4:00 PM
This position is covered by the SEIU Collective Bargaining Agreement
Provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a RN or physician.
Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides for personal care, emotional support and performs more complex clinical skills under the direction of a RN. Stocking of rooms, carts, daily. Ordering of supplies, weekly. Cleaning of rooms after each patient encounter. Transport of tools and labs to central sterile and laboratory- as well as retrieval on a daily basis. Rooming of patients- to include vital signs, initial patient questions, taking the dressing down and cleansing the wound. Reminder calls to patients. Assistance with charting as needed. Assisting nurses when needed with basic dressings (will train) and a 2nd pair of hands when needed. Open and ready rooms in the AM/ close and lock rooms in the PM. Take pictures of wounds.
High School graduate or equivalent. Completion of CNA I and CNA II courses. Current CNA certification in the state of Massachusetts. Current BCLS certificate. Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Basic computer knowledge.
