About ORMC:
Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 as Odessa Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was changed to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus and more comprehensive services. The hospital has 225 beds and has approximately 250 physicians on staff and has over 700 employees.
Today, ORMC offers a wide spectrum of healthcare services, including advanced diagnostic imaging technology, emergency care, innovative surgical procedures, maternity care, comprehensive cardiac services and general medical care.
About the Position:
- Under the general supervision of the President, the Business Development Director is responsible for the development and implementation of business building strategies in all hospital market segments.
- Works closely with various department directors to help market their services.
- Works with Marketing coordinator in regard to marketing, planning, public relations on all product lines, including community outreach services and wellness departments.
- Coordinates with tenants in all leased buildings including MOB and off-site leases.
- Works with senior leadership to onboard physicians.
- Continually develops business by building nurturing relationships with local physicians within the community.
- Oversees the property management of all leased spaces, including off-site locations. Coordinates with tenants and hospital plant operations staff to address any plant issues. Addresses all complaints from tenants and works closely with them to ensure realistic satisfaction.
- Works closely with senior leadership in determining specific needs for business development to support the achievement of the hospital’s strategic plan.
- Coordinates community education programs, community events, physician – related events, and hospital events in conjunction with the Marketing Coordinator.
- Actively participates in hospital and departmental committees, and group meetings with a focus on providing input regarding improving quality of patient care services in the facility.
- Develops departmental budget in conjunction with accounting. Plans, develops, initiates, and monitors departmental budgeting process necessary to carry out functions of the department in an economical and efficient manner.
