Position Overview: assist with mask distribution and symptom attestation at hospital entrances at Carney Hospital.

This position will consist of assisting with patient/visitor/employee flow and includes stocking of masking dispensers and ensuring mask compliance.

In addition, staff must confirm employees have completed the symptom tracker and visitors have been cleared after responding to a symptom questionnaire.

This position will require wearing a mask and standing for extended periods of time and completing a symptom attestation upon arrival for each shift.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide a courteous welcome to all Patients / visitors
  • Manage visitor restriction policy
  • Take visitor temperature (equipment and training provided); ensure admittance according to guidelines.
  • Manage patient flow into pre-selected, secure entrances
  • Follow policies and procedures set up by hospital to ensure safe screening process by correctly wearing PPE and practicing social distancing.
  • Provides education regarding proper mask and hand hygiene protocols, ensuring hat everyone entering the facilities adheres to protocols
  • Screen and greet patients, visitors, and staff as they enter building by asking them questions based on CDC guidelines related to COVID-19.
  • Communicate with compassion and respect when engaging patients, visitors, and staff as they enter the building.
  • Mask distribution / ensure mask compliance
  • Symptom attestation
  • Complete symptom tracking log
  • Assists patients and visitors with finding their way in the facility.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Fluency in English required; other languages preferred
