Diabetes Educator- FT Exempt Days
Under the general supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Diabetes Educator is responsible for the overall operation of the Diabetes Center inclusive of administrative and technical operation. Utilizing effective planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and controlling mechanisms, the Diabetes Educator ensures that efficient and effective services are provided.
A. Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse.
B. Certification by the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (CDE).
C. Masters Degree in Nursing
D, Bilingual (English and Spanish).
E. Minimum of three years of experience in provision of care to diabetics with supervisory/management experi-ence preferred.
