KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: |
- Oversee the reconciliation of all balance sheet reconciliations assigned to you and Hospital accounting staff on a monthly basis
- Coordinate with the Hospital accounting team to deliver accurate department P&L’s on a monthly basis
- Closely interact with Corporate Accounting, SMG, SHCN, AR and AP groups to identify areas of operational and accounting efficiencies
- Work with all necessary parties to create and implement processes to help shorten period end close cycle
- Communicate with Director of AP to streamline AP accounting procedures and ensure accurate reporting
- Leverage data modeling technology to derive entries needed to close each period and to perform variance analysis and reconciliation between subledgers and general ledger
- Participate in the evaluation and recommendation of programs, procedures for improved operations, modifications to and/or implementation of new procedures
- Assist in establishing long- and short-term unit goals and objectives to support department and corporate strategic plan
- Lead and develop team of 5-10 staff and senior accountants
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIES: |
- Minimum 5 years of experience, BS Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience, including 2 years in a leadership role
- Experience in Accounting within the healthcare field preferred
- Moderate to advanced working knowledge of MS Office
- Experience with at least one data modeling tool such as Power BI, Power Query, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.
- Proven track record leading projects or identifying opportunities for process improvements
- High Volume/Multi-Location experience
- Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision in a high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail to be a self-starter
- Demonstrated ability to manage upwardly by keeping leadership apprised of foreseen obstacles. This ensures management has as much lead time as possible to react to and/or mitigate issue(s).
