POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Director is responsible and accountable for directing, planning, and organizing the nursing activities on the unit for an assigned shift with focus on patient, physician and staff needs. Responsible for interface and QI with doctors. Supervise all nursing care and mental health tech duties. Directs staff meetings in Program Director absence. Responsible for Case Management, UR, Chart QA and Policy and Procedure related to nursing, client safety and environment. Represents Program @ Nurse Leadership and other nursing related hospital committees.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Experience of 1-2 years Medical/Surgical/ICU/E.D./OR/PACU/OPS/NICU preferred.
  2. Current RN licensure in the state of Texas
  3. Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification or training for Geropsych, ER
  4. Current ACLS required for ICU, ER, OR, PACU, OPS
  5. Current PALS required for ER and Pedi. NRP required for NICU, L&D, Nursery
  6. Current BLS certification in all areas
  7. Must successfully complete a unit specific written competency exam before hire with a minimum score of 85%.
  8. Other experience/technical skills as assigned
