Director Finance

Position: Director, Financial and Ops Analytics

Location: Steward Health Care System LLC located at 77 Warren ST, Brighton, MA, 02135

Job Description:

• Build and improve upon financial and operational reporting mechanisms to support the hospitals and divisional leadership by continuously improving access to actionable data.
• Build and maintain strategic automated data reporting solutions and visualizations, analytics.
• Work with key stakeholders to drive improvements in financial and operational effectiveness, care quality, clinical care, risk management, revenue cycle, denial management.
• Build and complete advanced analytical models to assess hospital efficiency and productivity, including both scheduled reporting and ad hoc requests.
• Assist in formulating both long- and short-term strategic plans for operational and financial analytics needs.
• Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions. Perform and document analytics, data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design with the Senior leadership.
• Responsible for KPIs/KRA improvement, budgets, strategic goals, monthly projections, operating review, and other program performance metrics. Analyzes actual results against expected performance and addresses areas for improvemen.
• Build and improve upon financial and operational dashboards, reporting mechanisms to support the hospitals and divisional leadership by continuously improving access to actionable data, builds and completes advanced analytical models to assess hospital efficiency and productivity, including dashboards, scheduled reporting and ad hoc requests using the best-inclass.
• Business Intelligence Tools. Assess data strategy, improve data integration, data Warehousing/Data Model/Data Mart, SQL scripts and data model enhancement for the applications. Plan, design, develop, implement, and manage automated end-to-end analytics solutions.

Position Requires:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronics and Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, or closely related degree.

Requires 7 years of experience in job offered or as Software Engineer / Project Leader / Technical Project Manager (at least 5 years of which must be progressive post-baccalaureate experience).

Also requires 3 years in healthcare or life sciences experience with/using the following which may have been gained concurrently):

• Working on financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Building Financial/Analytical models using Business Intelligence Tools and Technologies such as MS SQL, Oracle, and building datasets.
• Qlik, Tableau, SAP BO, Power BI, and SSRS.
• Datawarehouse and Data Mart
• Creating scripts for data extraction.
• Coding and automating dataflows via SQL, JavaScript API, Data Extract API, Python, and REST API.
• Meditech, Axiom, QlikSense, QlikView, Power BI, Tableau, SQL & Python, Datawarehouse, Data Mart, and MS Office.
