Position Summary: Under administrative direction, assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the delivery of patient care for the Operating Rooms, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Pre-op Suite, and Gastroenterology unit.. Provides administrative direction in the development and evaluation of all personnel, and maintains overall operational accountability. Contributes to the hospital through support of the philosophy, goals and objectives of the institution.

Qualifications/Requirements

Education

Graduate from an accredited school with a BS degree.

Masters degree preferred.

Required licensures/certifications

Registered Nurse in the State of Florida

ACLS

BLS

Skills and Abilities

Understanding of all aspects of perioperative care. Ability to apply job knowledge, principles and technical skills. Ability to utilize principles of Human Resource Management in dealing with staff members Knowledge of current leadership, management, and quality improvement principles. Must have full knowledge of elementary accounting principles with understanding of budget development as well as business economics and inventory management. Must work closely with Clinical Nurse Manager and CNO to ensure the delivery of safe patient care.

Experience.

Minimum of three years experience in perioperative care.
