The Director of Women's and Children’s Services provides overall management and strategic leadership of the Women's and Children’s Services nursing units and affiliated service lines. Representing Women's and Children’s Services, the Director is responsible for patient safety, compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards associated with Women's and Children’s Services nursing unit(s), budgetary duties and fiscal performance of the nursing unit(s), leadership of Women's and Children’s Services team members, resource development and implementation of process changes and establishment, measurement, reporting and audit of the Women's and Children’s Services unit Performance Metrics. Responsible for overseeing the work of the Nursery/NICU Clinical coordinator and the Neonatal Nurse Practitioners. Responsible for assuring 24-hour coverage of the nursing units.


  • Graduate of a nursing program.
  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing or healthcare administration is preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of women's services nursing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Progressive unit management experience is preferred.
  • Current Louisiana RN licensure is required. BLS required. ACLS, PALS, NRP, AWHONN (basic, intermediate and advanced is preferred), and STABLE certifications are required (or within 90 days of hire into the position).
