Provide a variety of Cardiovascular services on patients including 2-D cardiac ultrasound, TEEs, Stress Echos, Doppler wave form tracings and color flow imaging. Participates in the daily operations and activities of the Cardiovascular Department. Performs cardiac ultrasound procedures in accordance with the departmental standards. Informs and prepares patients for cardiac ultrasound exams. Organizes, prepares and cleans equipment and word area appropriately. Maintains appropriate level of communication with patients, physicians, and staff. Instruct and educate patients and families. Calculates and record exam results: communicating to the patient's physician any pertinent abnormal findings. Serves as an interactive member of the cardiovascular department to assure a high level of quality in patient care
RDCS, ARDMS registered
Associate or Bachelor's degree in allied health preferred.
A minimum of 2 years health care experience required.
Experience with Meditech software preferred.
