Shift: Part time 24hrs. per wk./ days

Summary: Provide a variety of Cardiovascular services on patients including 2-D cardiac ultrasound, TEEs, Stress Echos, Doppler wave form tracings and color flow imaging. Participates in the daily operations and activities of the Cardiovascular Department Performs cardiac ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental standards. Informs and prepares patients for cardiac ultrasound exams. Organizes, prepares and cleans equipment and work area appropriately. Maintains appropriate level of communication with patients, physicians and staff. Instruct and educate patients and families. Calculate and record exam results; communicating to the patient's physician or authorized staff any pertinent abnormal findings. Serves as an interactive member of the cardiovascular department to assure a high level of quality in patient care

Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in allied health preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years' health care experience
  • Certification Required in field
