Under the direction of an RN, assists in patient examination, and treatment in the emergency dept.
Responsibilities: Greeting ambulances, taking and recording vital signs, performing EKG's, assisting with procedures, providing hygiene and nutrition, feed patients are needed, and making rounds on a group of assigned patients, stocking supplies and assist with cleaning patient care equipment. Answer and make telephone calls, order entry, data collection, chart management, and prepare charts for transfers and discharge, collect patient copays.
Shift: 36 hours/ Evening/Night 7p - 7:30a, Emergency Department ; full-time benefit eligible
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- 1-2 year of relatable experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Knowledge of Meditech is preferred
