POSITION SUMMARY:

The Field Sales Representative, Rhode Island Region, is responsible for all sales and outreach activity in Rhode Island sales region, as defined by the Marketing Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for supporting the implementation of US Family Health Plan sales and outreach strategies.
  • Acts as a liaison to military base contacts for consultation, education and facilitation of the communication/marketing aspects of enrollment, US Family Health Plan updates and public relations.
  • Represents US Family Health Plan at Patient Advisory Committee meetings, beneficiary advocacy meetings, base events, and Plan-sponsored events.
  • Leverages US Family Health Plan prospect database for sales and beneficiary outreach.
  • Assists in planning and managing special events for US Family Health Plan members and the military community, including health fairs, information sessions, and open houses.
  • Performs other activities as needed for sales, marketing and external services to support the plan activities and health center operations.
  • Participates in team meetings and departmental activities to support Plan goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Strong sales, organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Must reside within Rhode Island region and have use of vehicle, with ability to travel throughout the Rhode Island sales region on a daily basis.
  • Must have public speaking experience.
  • Excellent computer skills required.
  • Must be familiar with and understand the local military community, ideally as a military retiree or as an active-duty family member.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE/TECHNICAL/OTHER:

  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
  2. Experience: Three years sales, marketing, recruiting, or public affairs experience, preferably in the health care, or military, environment.
  3. Certification/Licensure: n/a
  4. Software/Hardware: Must be proficient with MS Office programs, especially Access and Excel. Familiarity with GoldMine is desireable.
  5. Other: Must be able to obtain U.S. Government personnel security clearance as a condition of employment.
