FT Point of Care Test Coord
Provides accurate diagnostic and therapeutic test results to the responsible health care provider with minimal supervision.
The Point-of-Care Testing Coordinator is responsible for the technical and/or direct supervision of the laboratory point-of-care testing program. Experience with intricacies of laboratory quality control programs and strong background with laboratory information systems. Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology or a related science field. MT (ASCP) or CLS (NCA) or equivalent certification or registration. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work closely and effectively with other hospital departments and their respective leaders.
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Previous experience with maintaining and administering laboratory point-of-care testing programs. 2 years of laboratory supervisory experience preferred. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of five years experience as a Medical Technologist in a clinical setting.
