Job Summary:

Performs special trade and general maintenance functions in all Medical Center locations. Responsible to Facilities Maintenance for general upkeep of hospital grounds. Supports the Medical Center's mission and vision, as well as hospital and department policies and procedures governing their work activity.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
• Repairs and installs hospital building equipment, furniture etc.
• Assembles various types of hospital equipment, furniture etc.
• Performs snow removal and grounds keeping.
• Practices all workplace safety requirements.
• Maintains the safety of the environment.
• Plants and care for flower beds.
• Prunes trees and shrubs.
• Keeps lawns, driveways and entrance ways clear and clean of debris, ice and snow.
• Adjusts and makes minor repairs to equipment used. Cleans and performs preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Mows and trims grass
• Applies mulch, fertilizer and insecticide as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Post High school training in trade or technology is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license
• Background clearance as requires by state and federal guidelines.
• At least two (2) year in general plant operations/maintenance with a preference in the healthcare industry.
