Full time 40 Hours per week. 7:00am-3:30pm
The Health Information Management (HIM) Lead oversees the daily operations of the Health Information Management (HIM) Department and operates as a "working lead" in completing departmental functions. The HIM Lead works closely in coordination with the HIM Director. Daily operations may include: the release of information, ER billing, master patient index, commercial and non-commercial audits, record processing, physician's incomplete area, scanning, and transcription/dictation services.
Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or equivalent in training and experience; three years experience working in an acute care facility with experience directly related to Health Information Management. One year experience hospital based electronic medical record. At least two years Management/Supervisor experience preferred.
Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds; ability to hear normal speech at conversational volume; ability to see and read computer monitor; occasional prolonged standing/walking; occasionally lifts supplies/equipment, pushes carts. Keyboarding up to 7 hours/day. Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching. Environment may contain dust or other irritants. Use hands for gross and fine grasping and manipulation.
