HVAC Mechanic, 40 hrs/week, Day Shift, Weekends as Needed, Some On Call Required

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Lead HVAC Techm, performs installation, testing, inspection, preventive maintenance and repairs involving heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration related control systems through out the Medical Center

Responsibilites:

- Works from written work requests and verbal instructions from supervisors and managers

- Maintain the Medical Center's heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration related control systems

- Respond to emergency situations in the Medical Center that involve HVAC related problems

- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment

- Make daily rounds of building and related equipment and make daily reading of Medical Center EMS Systems.

- Maintain tools and equipment and work area in a safe, clean and orderly condition

- Completes all documentation needed with established department policies and procedures

- Assist maintenance department personnel as assigned by the Director of Facilities

- Performs other duties as assigned

Education/Experience/ Licensure

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience: Five years recent experience in trade in commerical, industrial or healthcare organizations

Certifications: Current Massachusetts Drivers License, Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License, E.P.A Type IV Universal Certification

Software/Hardware: Knowledgeable with Johnson Control EMS system or similar EMS system
