Lead Inpatient Therapist– Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital

Summary:

Responsible to Insight Rehabilitation Hospital Hillside for supporting the corporate mission, vision and values. Responsible to Inpatient Rehab Services (PT, OT, ST) for planning, implementing, supervising and contributing to overall efficient departmental function of the Inpatient Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy programs. Responsible to the customer for courteous, accurate, timely service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy from a college or university program required.
  • Recommended up to four years’ experience on this or related jobs in a hospital or healthcare facility to develop the judgement necessary to make appropriate decisions and to handle emergency situations.
  • Current Ohio license as an Physical or Occupational Therapist the Ohio OT, PT, AT Board required.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross required or obtain within three months of employment.

Job Responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

  • Promotes growth and direction of therapy services and supervises daily inpatient physical, speech and occupational therapy departmental functions.
  • Observes personnel in performance of duties as to efficiency, skill, abilities and attitudes toward fellow workers and patients.
  • Provides therapy to inpatient clientele and evaluates patients utilizing standard techniques and establishes a treatment plan and goals.
  • Consults with other professionals in the hospital or community.
  • Ensures that all department medical record reports are completed in a timely manner and all entries are signed.
  • Selects qualified competent department staff to provide quality services.
  • Completes performance appraisals on time based on policy.
  • Recommends operating and capital budgets and monitors allocation of resources.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
