Inventory Specialist Central Supply Technician-FT-Days

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for organizing Central Service & Supply. Coordinates the acquisition and distribution of medical supplies and patient care equipment to patient care areas. Maintains sufficient inventory levels to adequately supply hospital personnel with necessary items to sustain quality patient care.

Special Considerations/Age Specifications: Age legend not applicable. This position has no responsibility for the assessment, treatment or care of patients. However, the ability to communicate and interact with patients of all ages is required.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience):

High School Diploma or equivalent

Three (3) or more years experience with medical supplies and patient care equipment

Basic computer skills

Must have thorough knowledge of inventory control and supply distribution.

Must possess good oral and written communication skills

Must be able to work in a fast pace and stressful environment.
