POSITION SUMMARY

Assumes, under the direction of the Laboratory Director, the responsibility for laboratory functions for laboratory assistants and phlebotomy such as staff competency, regulatory compliance, manual revisions, result reviews, employee evaluations and staffing. Serves a supportive link between laboratory customers and the areas within the laboratory,. Performs phlebotomy duties.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Arizona Registered Nurse Licensure.
BCLS certificate.
PALS certificate preferred
Completes annual and continuing education requirements as defined by facility.
Ability to read and communicate effective in English
Additional languages preferred
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to use computerized charting tool.
Prior experience in management and/or minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a medical/surgical/telemetry area.
