Lab Tech - Core Laboratory - Per Diem
An opportunity for a lab technician exists in the Core Laboratory (Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Blood Gas analysis) at the Methuen campus of Holy Family Hospital. This is a great opportunity for an MT or MLT student that is working toward their degree and has successfully completed at least one clinical rotation. We are seeking a medical professional to join our team that will consistently bring their A-game. Routinely works each bench throughout the department as assigned by the department supervisor.
Performs routine analyzer maintenance and initiates troubleshooting as needed.
Verifies, calls, and documents all critical values according to hospital policy.
Reports results in a timely manner. Consistently and appropriately prioritizes STAT specimens.
Participates in and completes all competency-based testing in a timely fashion.
Uses reagents and laboratory materials efficiently and in a cost conscious manner. Assures optimal use of materials by rotating stock and informing others which reagents should be used first.
High School diploma required.
Must be working toward BS or AS in Medical Technology or equivalent.
Minimum of one clinical rotation completed (chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, and/or coagulation) with an accredited laboratory.
