Lead Receiver - Materials Management - 40 hrs/week (Days)

I. Position Function:
Receiving Lead is responsible for the efficient daily operations of the Receiving function. This is to protect CSEMC valuable assets and to ensure proper documentation of receipt and delivery to supplies/equipment to our customers.
II. Job Relationships:
Directing Receiving staff and all external personnel on CSEMC Receiving dock.
Reports to Central Supply & Receiving Supervisor.
Manages the paper trail to reliably document, express, regular and special delivery arrangements to protect CSEMC assets.
Interfaces with customers to ensure service is provided in satisfactory manner.
Interacts with Purchasing and Accounts Payable staff to troubleshoot invoicing/or delivery issues, assisted by supervisor.
Collaborates with other hospital staff (especially Clinical Engineering and Maintenance) to ensure deliveries are completed.
Schedules deliveries with vendors to assist best use of internal resources.
Coordinates courier service to Caritas or other off-site locations.
Authorized to assign daily tasks.
Will work with supervisor to address staff, personnel, hiring and related functions.
Is authorized to review existing processes and to implement improved processes.
Authorized to schedule deliveries in-line with customer and departmental needs.
Authorized to schedule external shipments to meet customer needs but heeding cost factors.
IV. A. Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

and patients as referenced in the Service Excellence Standards."
Provides superior CUSTOMER SERVICE to internal and external clients, customers and patients.
Prioritizes tasks to best serve our customers.
Ensures proper documentation of Receiving and Delivery processes with efficient audit trail maintained.
Directs Receiving staff and all other personnel on CSEMC dock.
Assist with training and scheduling.
Troubleshoots to completion customer service issues.
Works with supervisor to arrange service changes/improvements with stockless vendor (med/surge and office supplies).
Monitors and requests replacement supplies of Medical gases for SEMC.
Notifies supervisor of training or in-servicing needs of Materials Management or other staff on MM topics.
Works with Caritas Courier service to serve off-site customers.

Reports unresolved customer issues to Supervisor (minimally daily and more often as situation warrants).
Reports departmental statistics to Manager monthly.
Accountable for the provision of timely service to our customers..
Accountable for maintaining the confidentiality and security of all medical center related, employee-related and patient-related data.
Accountable for abiding by all medical center and department policies and procedures.
2 years in materials management logistics or related hospital experience
Able to schedule, motivate and educate staff.
Ability to complete tasks during shift or according to schedule.
Receiving or Materials Management experience. Other related hospital experience also relevant
