Position Summary: Preform and initially interpret Cardiac Echo Studies including Two-Dimensional Echo, Doppler, and Contrast Studies. The successful candidate for this newly created position will:

• Prepare patients for Echo
• Maintain monthly statistics
• Communicate with cardiologists, primary care physicians and other departments to facilitate delivery of services
• Provide referring physician with preliminary interpretation and delivers all study results to physician for formal interpretation.
• Supports medical practice initiatives for performance improvement.
• Maintains daily activities log
• Uses and maintains all cardiac ultrasound equipment.
• Informs physicians of abnormal study results which may require immediate response (under direction of cardiologists
• Files and sends Echocardiogram reports to proper patient records and referring physicians. When necessary, telephones results to physicians
• Takes necessary steps to ensure patient safety and comfort

Position Requirements:

• Completion of a college or technical training program in Echocardiography Technology required.
• 2+ years of experience as an Echo Technician
• Echo and Vascular experience, highly desired
• Active BLS by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer is required

Salary Range: $55.00 - $60.00
