JOB SUMMARY

Responsible to Facilities Maintenance for general upkeep of buildings, grounds, equipment, and utilities. Responsible to the customer for courteous, accurate, timely service. This is a Temporary Full-time role, which works 10:00 pm to 6:00 pm shift, as needed with call rotation after orientation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school graduate or GED with related experience or training in facilities maintenance.
  • Completion of a training program in the handling of refrigerant required, basic knowledge of and experience with electronics and electrical wiring, plumbing and pumps, small motors, compressors, air handlers and boilers required.
  • Certification in Technician Type I, II by EPA approved trainer required or obtain certification within 12 months.
  • Previous experience as a maintenance mechanic preferred.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license and/or CDL and proof of current insurance required.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAJOR DUTIES

1. Repairs, installs and maintains electrical motors, parts, pumps, plumbing fixtures, fittings, valves and controls.

2. Performs scheduled preventive maintenance jobs, ability to use gauges and add refrigerant; replaces components including a/c compressors, VAV boxes, valves, modulating motors, air handlers and associated equipment.

3. Performs minor carpentry, concrete and painting work, repairs and maintains patient beds, wheelchairs, etc. Installs, repairs and maintains patient rooms (nurse calls, call cords, lighting etc.), various hospital equipment, and maintains all air compressors.

4. Performs groundskeeper duties in emergency situations and in the groundskeeper’s absence, performs other duties as assigned.
