POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs various plumbing maintenance functions, including replacement of all types of plumbing fixtures, devices, valves and piping. With experience of tracing lines, unclogging lines and commodes. All other duties as assigned as department demands.
Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities)
Performs general plumbing maintenance and installation, ability to troubleshoot and resolve plumbing problems, adjust flush-a-meters, replace section of plumbing lines, toilets, valves and plumbing devices as required by the plumbing trade. Maintains all water and sewer lines and other associated equipment. Able to sauder and weld pipes associated with plumbing fixtures. Informs supervisor of any problems. Fills out and completes any assigned work orders as required. Maintains preventive maintenance on equipment. Provides cost estimate of material used or needed for repair. Responds to radio calls in adequate time frame. Complete requisitions of materials needed for repair. Attends and keeps up-to-date with all equipment in-service material. Assists co-workers, if needed to accomplish job task when Manager or Supervisor approves. Must be able to report to work in the event of a disaster and after hours emergencies. Communicate with hospital personnel to inform them on repair or status of repairs, taking place in their area. Performs job duties in accordance with applicable trade and standards set s forth by AHCA and JACHO, if applicable. Adhere to current rules and regulations related to plumbing so that systems pass inspection the first time.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 7-10 years work experience in related plumbing position.
- Licensed Plumber preferred
