POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the Supervisor of the Breast Center Digital Mammograms of the breast at a technical level that will produce high quality mammographic images, may also perform breast localization procedures, and Stereotactic procedures. Qualified under MQSA for quality control mammography technologist.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Current certification with the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist), MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act), and State of Florida. Completion of required mammographic procedures and initial training as required by MQSA and/or State of Florida
  • DBT Tomosynthesis 8-hour requirement

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

Current certification with the ARRT, MQSA and State of Florida.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Completion of required mammographic procedures and initial training as required by MQSA and or State of Florida
  • Current CPR (BLS) certification.
  • Proof of required License(s) and/or Certification(s) due at time of hire
  • ARRT, MQSA and State of Florida license is required
  • Must maintain CME’s as required by State and or National accreditation bodies.
  • Proof of required educational level(s) due at time of hire
  • Completion of required mammographic procedures as required by MQSA and or State of Florida
