Job Summary:

Manages all Central Scheduling processes including but not limited to pre-registration and insurance verification. An active liaison between physicians, nursing, diagnostic services and transferring facilities. Provides support, training, planning and other duties as assigned. Supervise Clinical and Non Clinical staff.

The Central Scheduling Manager is responsible for the supervision of the Central Scheduling Unit, which consists of Schedulers, Verification, Authorization and Pre-Registration staff. The Central Scheduling Manager will assist and back up the Patient Access Manager with various Registration duties as assigned to the registration teams. The Central Scheduling Manager will handle overall operations of the Central Scheduling Department. Also the Central Scheduling Manager will partnership with the Patient Access Manager to assist with staffing and workflows, performances of the patient access staff.

Requirements:

  • Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
  • Three to five years of scheduling/customer service experience required.
  • CPR
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Background clearances (as required by law).
