Summary:

Under the immediate supervision of the Director of Clinical Services, the Manager of Sleep Lab is responsible to Trumbull Regional Medical Center for supporting the corporate mission, vision and values. Responsible to Cardiopulmonary for insuring accurate clinical and logistical support services are provided. Responsible to the customer for courteous, accurate, timely service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in respiratory care required. Bachelor’s degree in respiratory care preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist with proficiency in all competencies of an RPSGT required. After orientation, up to three month’s experience on this job is required to perform essential functions.
  • Current Ohio license as a respiratory care professional by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board required.
  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) required.
  • Certification in CPR/BLS and ACLS by American Heart Association required.

Job Responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

  • Manages daily operations of the Sleep Center and EEG services. Competently performs and monitors clinical diagnostic/therapeutic services.
  • Responsible for Quality/Performance Improvement initiatives including data collection.
  • Participates in marketing and educational program initiatives.
  • Compliant in documenting all required information.
  • Maintains department supply inventory.
  • Enters employee schedules and performs timecard edits in the electronic time and attendance system.
  • Provides staff education and training, completing competencies, and yearly performance evaluations for sleep center and EEG staff.
  • Serves as a role model in customer service for the Sleep Labs/Centers locations in the Market.
  • Reviews all technical work to ensure validity, reliability, and quality of testing.
  • Assists the Director of Clinical Services in the development, management, and application of departmental budgeting.
  • Provides after hour availability to support staff by phone.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
