Position Summary:
Coordinates staff and workload to accomplish examinations ordered during a 24 hour 7 day week operation to maximize productivity. Is involved with performance evaluations, counseling, and performance improvement. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department. Responsible for various budgetary reports, ordering supplies, quality control, quality assurance and staff education. Communicates with physicians, management and supervisors of all sub-sections in the Imaging Department and throughout the hospital. Must have technical knowledge of all radiographic procedures and equipment. Leadership skills are critical for setting and demonstrate standards of performance. Access and utilize the hospital and radiology information systems including PACS.
Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities)
3 Years as a Supervisor preferred (Hospital experience)
Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology program (2 years)
Training in AMA approved school and meets requirements for registry by the ARRT
Bachelor's degree preferred
Computer skills with knowledge of HIS, RIS and PACS systems
Required Licenses/Certifications:
Must have be certified by A.R.R.T or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
Florida License (General)
BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
Communication Skills:
Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization
