Job Description

Position Summary:

Collects records of discharged patients and ensures receipt of all records and preps records for scanning. Scans all records into the Horizon Patient Folder (HPF) within required time frames. This employee will also assist as needed to manage incoming department calls and assist physicians, hospital and non-hospital personnel coming into the department.

  • RHIT Credential, preferred
  • Knowledge of HIPPA regulations preferred
  • 1-3 years experience preferred
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • Basic computer knowledge including E-mail, Microsoft Windows and HIM Software applications
  • Well-developed listening, verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and take initiative to suggest process improvements
