Scenic Mountain Medical Center is a community health care provider serving patients in Howard County. An acute care hospital with 146 licensed beds, Scenic Mountain is Joint Commission accredited. Our specialized services include cardiology, orthopedics, maternity, diagnostic imaging, emergency care with a 24/7 level IV Trauma Center, wound care, and women's health and breast care services.

About the Shift:

7a-7p as needed, alternating weekends

About the Position:

Perform routine and specialized procedures in all areas of the laboratory and assist with administrative duties. The MLT is responsible to and supported by the medical technologist, chief technologist and director supervisor

Regulatory Requirements:

Experience:
Two years experience in a clinical laboratory, preferably in all areas, or documented training and experience with approval of director and Administration. Associates in Medical Technology required or Bachelors degree preferred.

Licenses/Certificates:

  • Associate or Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
  • Current certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Lab Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform as a generalist.
  • Eligibility to sit for certification exam as Medical Technologist, Medical Lab Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform as a generalist. Must obtain certification within 1 year of hire date.
  • Must be able to perform testing in the following specialties; blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology/immunology.
